Whiteout by Marco Goecke is a powerful and intensely physical work that showcases his unique choreographic language—precise, complex, and infused with both a touch of humor and melancholy. Created in 2008 for Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, this piece has since been performed by companies around the world. One of Ballet d’Jèrri’s first commissioned works, Deliberate Mistake was co-created by Asier Edeso Eguia and multi-disciplinary artist Yulia Makeyeva, with an original score by Ilia Osokin.
Inspired by knitting—an art deeply embedded in Jersey’s history—the piece explores memory, loss, and the invisible threads that bind a community. Its title refers to an old tradition: a deliberate flaw in a knitted pattern, used to identify a drowned sailor…
