Dr Adam Perchard
Dr Adam Perchard is an internationally acclaimed writer, singer, and theatre-maker. They headline cabaret stages across Europe and the US, and have performed their work on Channel 4 and at the National Theatre, the London Coliseum, Soho Theatre, and Hackney Empire. In 2023, they closed the northernmost literary festival in the world with their solo show BUNBURYING, and another of their solo pieces, BATHTIME FOR BRITAIN, toured major theatres across the UK. In 2024 they completed a hit run at the Soho Theatre with INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMP, written and performed with Olivier Award-winning composer Richard Thomas, and next year they will tour the show internationally. A multi-award-winning poet, Adam holds a PhD in eighteenth century studies and postcolonial literature, and they have just completed their first novel. Their sculpture OUR HANDS, commemorating those accused in Jersey’s witch trials, is on permanent exhibition at Jersey Museum, and was the catalyst for the commission of this programme.
