Nothing But This
Nothing But This is a live, conversational dance work inspired by ballets without fixed narrative, shaped moment by moment like a pianist in performance. It explores the body as an instrument - expressive, vulnerable, and resonant - drawing on the physicality of chords, melody, and polyrhythm, and on the emotional depth music can unlock. The dancers listen closely to one another and to the audience, meeting your gaze as an invitation rather than a performance. Echoing a musician’s journey through a recital, the piece distills movement to its essence: presence, connection, and what we choose to give.

London based dance artist and choreographer, Hannah Joseph trained at Rambert School during which she was a BBC Young Dancer Finalist (2022). Currently working with Dickson Mbi Company, she has toured internationally with Company Wayne McGregor (2023-2025) and has also performed creations by Botis Seva, Russell Maliphant, Alesandra Seutin, Alexander Whitley, Julia Cheng and Matthew Bourne. Commercial credits include Moschino Milan SS24 Fashion Week, London Fashion Week 2024, Hermès Brides de Gala and Swedish singer Robyn. Presenting her own choreography regularly in the Clore Studio, the Linbury Theatre, and Mainstage at the Royal Ballet and Opera, Lillian Baylis Theatre at Sadler’s Wells, the Roundhouse and digitally on Nowness. Hannah’s choreographic commissions include work for the Royal Ballet School students, English National Ballet Company and the Royal Ballet Company.
