Ballet d’Jèrri Dancing on the Beach

Join the dancers of Ballet d’Jèrri for an evening of casual pop-up dance on the sand at St Ouen’s Bay, marking the close of the season before the company heads off for a well-earned summer break.
There is no stage, no tickets, and no expectation to stay for the whole evening. Come for five minutes or two hours, join in or simply watch as the sun goes down.
7:00pm – Mat Pilates with Alicia
Bring a mat or towel and ease into the evening with a gentle Pilates class on the sand.
8:00pm – Company Warm-Up
Our dancers will begin their evening warm-up, and everyone is welcome to join. No dance experience is needed, just comfortable clothes and a willingness to move.
8:15pm – Create with Us
We'll explore a series of simple choreographic tasks together, building a brand-new piece inspired by the beach, the evening, and everyone taking part. Ballet d'Jèrri's dancers will be creating alongside you, but participation is entirely optional, you are also just as welcome to watch.
8:57pm – Sunset Performance
Just before the sun slips below the horizon (8:59pm), we'll perform our newly created dance together as a celebration of the close of the season.
Afterwards, the evening continues however you choose. Stay on the beach, paddle in the sea, chat with the dancers, or wander up to Watersplash for a drink and enjoy the sunset DJ set.
There are no rules, no formal ending, and no dress code. Just a chance to move, celebrate, and enjoy a summer evening by the sea with Ballet d'Jèrri.
What to bring: Comfortable clothes, water, and a mat or towel if you'd like to join the Pilates session.

What to bring: Something to sit on, warm layers, and anything else you need for a sunset on the beach.
This event is weather dependent. If cancellation is deemed necessary for the dancers’ comfort and safety, it will be announced via our Instagram and Facebook channels.
